Why we surface contradictions instead of hiding them

Most knowledge bases quietly pick a winner. Veritas does the opposite: when two hypotheses draw opposite conclusions from the same evidence, the system flags it as a contradiction and puts it in a review queue.

The dark-matter debate is the cleanest example shipped with V1.0. The Bullet Cluster supports a new-particle explanation and simultaneously opposes pure modified-gravity (MOND). The radial-acceleration relation does the reverse. Both relationships are recorded, so the contradiction engine can see the tension and a reader can weigh it directly on the evidence ledger.

A contradiction is not an embarrassment to be resolved by fiat. It is a precise statement of where the map is still being drawn.
